- Press Start. You have 2 minutes for all 18 countries.
- Type a country’s name. It counts as soon as it matches and turns green on the map; a country under another letter clears the box, with a note saying which letter it is under.
- Pause whenever you like. When the time is up, the lists below the map show what you named and what you missed.
About the countries that start with C
C has 18 countries: 8 in Africa, 3 in Asia, 2 in Europe, 3 in North America and 2 in South America. Oceania is the only continent without one. Two African neighbours that share a name are both filed here, as most lists do, even though the names this site uses for them start with D and R.
More about the countries that start with C (names some answers)
Canada is the largest of them, the second-largest country in the world, and China the most populous. Comoros is the smallest. Four are islands: Cabo Verde, Comoros, Cuba and Cyprus. The two Congos are the Republic of the Congo and DR Congo (the Democratic Republic of the Congo); “Congo” on its own names the first. “Ivory Coast” counts for Côte d’Ivoire, “Cape Verde” for Cabo Verde and “Czech Republic” for Czechia.

A country is under the first letter of the name used on this site, ignoring accents, with one exception: two countries are filed here, where most lists put them, although the site’s names for them start with D and R. Territories and dependencies aren’t answers, and land outside the quiz is shown in a lighter shade.
Spelling: capitals, accents, spaces and punctuation don’t matter, and well-known alternative names count.
The accepted alternative names appear here when your quiz ends, so they don’t give any answers away.
